Medical Data Reporting Analyst

PRINCIPLE PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Medical Data Reporting Analyst provides consultative analytical support to internal and external customers on various projects; and conducts detailed claims analysis and ad-hoc reporting as prioritized by management. Analytical support, claims analysis, and ad-hoc reporting include the extraction and loading of data utilizing Oracle databases; conducting thorough qualitative and quantitative analysis of medical claims data sets. Providing direction and consultation to the business on claims data analysis methodology. Communicates the outcomes of analysis to business owners and senior management in a manner adding insight and value to our clients.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree required.
3+ years of experience working with large volumes of medical claims data.
Knowledge of claim form(HCFA, UB04) data elements.
Knowledge of healthcare claims processing platforms.
Knowledge of healthcare claims editing systems for correct coding (CCI).
Knowledge of standard industry coding systems such as CPT, ICD-9, and UB04 Codes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously and deliver on time.
Strong analytical and problem solving ability. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
3+ years working within relational database structures.
3+ years of Oracle PL/SQL scripting experience including DML required
3+ years of experience developing reports using SQL, Oracle PL/SQL.
Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, Macro's, V Lookups, queries, advanced written formulas).
