LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

PRINCIPAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Learning and Development Director (L&D) is responsible for developing the strategy, tools and resource requirements for organizational training and development. This person will work with the subject matter experts and business leaders to design develop and deploy business content and leadership training. This L& D Director will be responsible for needs assessment and leadership development strategies to include facilitation of core leadership programs. The L&D Director will also be responsible for the Learning Management System, maintaining updates as needed as well as delivering on line training and communications. The L&D Director will have oversight for all technical trainers and lead a global training community.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct needs assessment to determine organizational training and development needs
  • Lead change management and communications for organizational change
  • Design and deliver core leadership programs ( performance management, interview and selection, situational leadership)
  • Design and develop business content training materials with the subject matter experts from each department
  • Determine strategy for training deployment to include classroom, web based, job aids and other training solutions
  • Develop and manage an organizational training plan for all training projects
  • Design and deploy organizational on boarding and culture assimilation strategies
  • Support training materials using company styles, standards, and development tools
  • Develop and maintain a central repository for global training materials

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Works with a sense of urgency
  • Skilled in project management, deadline oriented
  • Demonstrated familiarity with Instructional Design
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Experience with technical training development
  • Experience in leadership development design, deployment and facilitation
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • 5 Years of Experience in design, development and training facilitation
  • Organizational training design and development of business content training
  • Design and delivery of leadership and other soft skills training
  • Ability to develop and manage an organizational training plan
  • Healthcare experience preferred but not required

JOB DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to sit and use a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs without assistance
  • No Travel Required
  • Must have flexibility and willingness to participate in the work processes of an international organization, including conference calls scheduled to accommodate global time zones.
